On October 20-21, 2025 a two-day Hungarian-Greek Food & Drink Business Event was held at the Marriott Hotel, jointly organized by the Hungarian Embassy in Athens, the Agricultural Marketing Center (AMC), and the HEPA office in Athens. For the event, 14 Hungarian companies traveled to Athens and presented their products to representatives of the Greek food industry. During the two-day event, Hungarian companies received general information about the Greek market, consumer habits, the situation of retail and wholesale trade, trends, etc., and also had the opportunity to visit several typical local supermarket chain stores. A total of 28 market representatives from the Greek side, including buyers, distributors, supermarket chains and other companies, attended the B2B meetings. Both Hungarian and Greek participants considered the meetings successful, and several promising business opportunities opened up.
